I obtained my Master degree in Neurosciences and Neuro-Psychological Rehabilitation at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2010. In 2014 I achieved my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Parma, Italy, under the supervision of prof. Vittorio Gallese, studying the effect of childhood maltreatment on intersubjectivity development in Sierra Leone. At the moment, I am fixed-term researcher at the Department of Medicine and Surgery – Unit of Neuroscience of the University of Parma where I coordinate national and international research projects examining how we represent our body devoting particular attention to the role of early traumatic experiences and psychiatric diseases. To pursuit my research interests, I have spent some time abroad. In particular, I have been a visiting researcher at Assam University (India), University of Essex (UK) and Berlin school of mind and brain (Germany).

I completed my master degree in Neurobiology at University of Pavia, Italy in 2016. I achieved my PhD in Neuroscience in March 2021 at the University of Parma, Italy, under the supervision of Prof Vittorio Gallese. Here I started my line of research focused on the investigation of bodily self alterations along the schizotypal and schizophrenic spectrum. As a postdoc, my current project at the University of Parma examines the multisensory integration mechanisms underlying the plasticity of peripersonal space both in schizotypy and schizophrenia and the neural bases of the individual differences in peripersonal space plasticity in healthy individuals.
